This is a unique recipe of stir fried cabbage conveniently served alongside any meal. It can also be eaten as a snack at lunch time. If you like a little spice then sprinkle it with red pepper flakes, hot pepper and tabasco.
Servings: 6
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- Cabbage, ¾ pound, sliced into fine strips of 2 inches
- Fish sauce, 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, 1 clove, crushed
- Egg, 1
- Oil, 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper, to taste
Method:
- Whisk eggs and fish sauce together and keep aside.
- Sauté garlic in oil until fragrant. Remove from the pan.
- Place cabbage in the same pan and stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Stir water and cover the lid. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and turn the flame high. Make a well in the center of the cooked cabbage and add egg mixture.
- Combine well and season with pepper. Stir fry for 2 to 5 minutes and serve
